Brunswick Partners With O’Learys – Leading Sports Bar & Restaurant Franchise
O’Learys, an international sports-themed food, beverage and bowling entertainment franchise, has tapped Brunswick Bowling as its bowling equipment provider. The new partnership was signed between the Stockholm, Sweden-based franchise and Brunswick on March 3 in Muskegon, Mich.
“Savvy bowling entertainment center owners around the world know that a well run food and beverage component is critical for success,” said Gary Smith, Brunswick Bowling vice president of international sales. “Entrepreneurs with expertise in both the food and beverage and the bowling areas are rare. That’s why our partnership with O’Learys is so significant for its franchisees.”
Brunswick will provide all bowling equipment for O’Learys franchises that offer bowling as an entertainment option, which represents one of the company’s several business models. O’Learys models range from smaller, airport locations, to larger entertainment and event locations with bowling. Over the last five years, O’Learys has partnered with Brunswick to equip the bowling venues in 15 locations.
“Our partnership with Brunswick, the world’s most professional bowling equipment designer, manufacturer and installer, enables us to provide the market with more exciting and profitable units,” said Wilhelm Vintilescu, O’Learys Trademark chief executive officer. “The uniqueness of our restaurant concept, together with bowling entertainment provided by Brunswick, has proven to be highly requested by our property owners, shopping centers and our customers. Already in 2013, we’ve scheduled five new units with many more to come.”
“The combination of bowling with a premier restaurant and sports bar has become tremendously popular and successful. The two venues are extremely complementary and can provide great returns. Having already worked with O’Learys on a number of these exciting projects, we look forward to growing our relationship and the O’Learys business around the world.” Brent Perrier, Brunswick Bowling Products president.
