First Bowl Expo Held In Texas Sponsored By First Name In Bowling

The Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA) has signed industry-kingpin Brunswick as Platinum Sponsor for its 2011 International Bowl Expo. The event, which is the BPAA’s main annual convention and tradeshow, will be held for the first time in Texas, at venues in Grapevine and Arlington from June 25 through July 1.

Additionally, Brunswick has been named Presenting Sponsor of the International Bowl Expo General Session, featuring prominent keynote speaker and legendary NFL Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Roger Staubach. Mr. Staubach will be introduced at the podium by Brunswick Bowling Products President Brent Perrier.

“Brunswick is delighted to be a Platinum and Presenting Sponsor at Bowl Expo again this year. We are deeply committed to doing whatever it takes to promote the advancement of the bowling industry – making the game more enjoyable for participants and more profitable for proprietors,” said Perrier.

During Bowl Expo 2011 Brunswick will also be the Presenting Sponsor for “A Night at the Campus.” Some 1,500 attendees are expected at this event, held at the International Bowling Campus located in Arlington, Texas. The evening’s festivities will include a rollicking outdoor Texas BBQ dinner, tours of the Brunswick equipped International Research & Training Center and the International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame (all located on the campus), and a two-game Pro-Am Open Tournament featuring bowling pros, including Parker Bohn III, Sean Rash and Johnny Petraglia.

“The International Bowl Expo is our largest and most important gathering of the year. We greatly appreciate Brunswick’s enthusiastic support for this event,” said BPAA Executive Director Steve Johnson. “These are important, exciting times for the bowling industry. We’re seeing a major resurgence in the game’s popularity, as well as a reshaping of the business model. And Brunswick is a major player in these developments.”
