Brooklyn Bowl Chooses Brunswick For London And Vegas
Brooklyn Bowl has partnered with Brunswick Bowling & Billiards to provide bowling design, equipment and installations for two new venues. The combination of top-notch music, memorable food and bowling was the key to success for the Williamsburg flagship, which opened in 2009. Today, founders and owners Charley Ryan and Peter Shapiro are looking forward to introducing the brand in London, England and Las Vegas, Nevada this year.
“We wanted to create something that would involve more entertainment than most places, and we really wanted to blur the lines between a restaurant, a bowling alley and a music venue so that you really couldn’t tell where one ended and one began,” said Ryan. Four years later, the Brooklyn Bowl concept is a proven winner among die-hard music fans as well as foodies and fun lovers.
When searching for a bowling partner for the new venues, explained Ryan, detailed follow-through and management support were critical, as well as an experienced professional view of their business model.
“We needed a great bowling partner,” said Ryan. “Bowling is Brunswick as far as I’m concerned. Kurt Harz and Jason Dean have been great.”
The business relationship flourished as teams from both companies worked to prepare the new venues.
“Brooklyn Bowl offers a one of a kind entertainment experience and we are thrilled to be involved with the expansion of such a powerful brand,” said Jason Dean, Brunswick Bowling’s director of new business development. “Charley and Pete are incredibly innovative entrepreneurs and it has been a pleasure working with them to bring their vision to London and Las Vegas.”
Brunswick equipment for both installations will be comprised of string pinsetters, Anvilane™ glow synthetic lanes, Pinball Wizard™ bumper bowling, Vector® scoring, lane machine, pins, house balls and rental shoes.
