Brunswick Bowling Proud Sponsor Of Iowa Hall Of Pride
Brunswick Bowling & Billiards is proud to announce its support of a brand new bowling exhibit located in the Iowa Hall of Pride.
The Iowa Hall of Pride was designed to celebrate notable graduates and their achievements in all Iowa communities over the past 100-plus years. A project of the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA), the Iowa Hall of Pride honors past and present Iowa high school students involved in extracurricular activities including athletics, academics, and the arts.
The bowling exhibit will be unveiled with a ribbon cutting ceremony during the Iowa Bowling Proprietors Association meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
“The new bowling exhibit is a great tribute to the sport of bowling,” said Brent Perrier, president Brunswick Bowling Products and fellow Iowan. “The Hall of Pride strives to provide a good foundation for our youth, while showcasing the accomplishments of sports figures of Iowa. Brunswick is focused on empowering our youth and helping them realize their potential. The Hall of Pride is a great way to showcase values, and Brunswick is proud to support that mission.”
The Iowa Hall of Pride is located in the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines. With countless touch screens and interactive games, each of the Hall’s 26 exhibits tell the stories of Iowa’s rich traditions in education and extracurricular activities. Eight interactive kiosks showcase outstanding alumni, individual and school accomplishments, and outstanding attractions in each of the towns and cities that make up the 403 school districts in Iowa.
The Iowa Hall of Pride is the only one of its kind in the United States. Each year, it is host to more than 35,000 students from across the state of Iowa, who can attend free of charge. The hall hosted 480 school field trips last year, with a total of 81,000 visitors.
